Want to take advantage of our sweet Hardcover StoryBook Sale (US|Canada) that's going on now through June 25? How about a gorgeous coffee table book featuring your most treasured photos - done in completely simple style. It's actually really easy, and the results are stunning.
Some of my favorite page layout designs are the ever-popular full bleed photo designs with very little (or no) embellishment added (for instance, see the cover to the right - it's simply a photo placed on the cover design with a little text). PS - the font I used is "Amaze".
Pages like this showcase the beauty of the photos without taking away from them, and they look just plain awesome. A few samples that I've created using beautiful photos:
Above is a simple two-page spread using one full bleed photo and one almost-full bleed photo with a little journaling. It's simple & sweet.
Above is another two-page spread with simple paper backgrounds, an embellishment and text added.
Certainly don't be afraid to create an entire book this way, or sprinkle these types of pages throughout your book. Give it a try! You'll be amazed at how fast you can create your pages, and how lovely they turn out. Also, don't be afraid to try some fun treatments on your photos - things like color changing to black and white or sepia, dropping the opacity, etc.
Don't forget - now through June 25, all Hardcover StoryBooks (US|Canada), lay-flat upgrade and extra pages are all 25% off! Enjoy :)
This is gorgeous! I am drawn to the more simple pages that highlight the photos...even in my albums. This is an outstanding way to create the storybooks. Thank you for the post. I look forward to others' comments and insights.
