So... by now you may have heard mention of the new format of artwork that we've recently released called Universal Format Artwork (US|Canada). We figured you may be wondering just what it is and what it means to you, so here's a rundown.
The term "universal" is due to the nature of the content format - it's a collection of JPG and PNG format files that can be used in virtually any type of scrapbooking software. This format will prove to be a great option for folks with Mac computers, or anyone with scrapbooking software besides StoryBook Creator. Remember - our content is also still available in the familiar StoryBook Creator .package format and comes with great features like keywords and easy installation, so we encourage anyone using Storybook Creator to continue to purchase artwork in that format.
You may be wondering just how to find Universal Content - well, we've restructured our website navigation to make it super easy to shop the content that's right for you, and we've added some icons to each of our preview images to make sure you're getting the right content you need. Here are the icons:
When you see one of the green icons next to a preview image, that means it's Universal Format content. When you see one of the grey or blue icons, that indicates which version the content will work in.
On April 1 we are launching 50 super fun and new kits in Universal Format, and going forward we will be launching approximately 50 more each month, so stay tuned...

I can't seem to find directions to get Universal Format stuff into 4.0. I usually stumble around and somehow get it done but can't describe the process to my customers.

I have just purchased a MAC, but have Storybook Creator 4.0 on my PC. I am wondering if I can use the Universal downloads on Storybook Creator 4.0 as well as on my MAC? Or do I need to keep purchasing SBC 4.0 products for the PC? thanks!

I accidentally purchased universal artwork when I'm using Storybook 4.0 and can't seem to import it. I can see where I've saved it but can't seem to unzip it. Thanks for any help!

@courtney, you certainly can use this Universal format in your sbcStudio program.
Jenny, very excited to see this! I would love to see Mac people have the opportunity to build books and other projects at the CM Digital Center, too.

My SBC Studio Mac version still works. If purchase & download something in the universal format, will it work with that?
