There are so many ways to find inspiration in every thing that we do and my children can attest to that as they always inspire me more than they know. When it comes to creating, every photograph of them inspires my layout design and how I want to convey their story into words on a scrapbook page. Funny thing is, they also inspire me to think outside the box.
I wanted to create something fun, other than a scrapbook layout, using the new Double Heart Chain Border Maker Cartridge but I was empty of ideas. Until my four year old came up with the brilliant idea of making a crown out of the single strip of punched hearts. While I was playing with a few of the punched hearts, she grabbed a few for herself and decided to chase her nine year old brother around the house trying to place the heart strips on top of his head. Telling him he has to wear the heart crown because he was being bad and he refused. It was pretty hilarious watching this happen, I couldn't stop laughing.
Later that evening, I went to creating. Sketched out a simple design, put my tools to work and made my daughter her very first handmade princess crown. I couldn't wait to surprise her the next day. As you can see, she was so happy, I received lots of kisses and the biggest hug ever. She wore it all through breakfast before it was time to head to school and wore it again when she came home from school. Totally made my day and heart smile.
Inspiration comes from every where, but the best inspiration comes from your own children, embrace it!
Cheers!
Are there instructions for this project??
